At first, it was just a job.  The beautiful clinic that Dr. Tizio worked at was attractive to people who did not have insurance, yet the cash pay rates were still almost a day’s wage. Dr. Tizio realized how many people have no health insurance because they just can not afford it.  Additionally, there was only one primary care physician in Apache Junction.  Dr. Tizio saw a need, and made it her mission to supply that need.  On January 1st of 2012, Dr. Tizio (then called Dr. Werling) opened Affordable Family Clinic on Meridian and Apache Trail in Apache Junction.  Her vision was to provide low cost primary care services to local residents and Arizona guests.  Dr. Tizio’s brother suggested she add affordable acupuncture to the menu of services, which was a great match due to the issues with helping people who have pain.  Imagine finding an office in Apache Junction that said “Acupuncture”!

Affordable Family Clinic was a success, but as the years progressed, and the landlord increased the rates such that the chiropractor and physical therapist neighbors shut their doors.  Dr. Tizio decided it was time to look for a new office.  She searched for months for a new location but to no avail, and finally closed the doors to the store front clinic and began seeing patients at their home, bedroom, offices, motel room, the homes of friends or family or any place they can have some privacy with the doctor.

Dr. Tizio continued looking for office space while seeing patients in the comfort of their own homes.  One day, as she was leaving a long-term patient’s home, the patient remarked how great she looked.  Dr. Tizio paused, and waited to hear the sentence that was the conception of Affordable Mobile Doctor.

“Well, you always look nice, but when you were at the office, you always looked so stressed and tired.”

It was that moment the doctor decided that her search for a new office was over…

We cater specifically to patients who do not have insurance. We are able to keep our overhead low because we interact with patients, not papers and insurance companies. We offer traditional office visits in the privacy of your own space.  This is a five minute doctor visit where you tell the doctor what is wrong and the doctor diagnoses and treats you.  This may include prescriptions (allopathic medicine,integrative medicine, naturopathic medicine, or homeopathic medicine), labs or imaging.  There may be additional charges for labs performed at the time of visit such as testing your urine for a urinary tract infection (UTI) or for a rapid strep if you have a sore throat.  Please call +1 (480) 357-6275 for more details.

Most chronic and acute conditions can be treated by the doctor.

High blood pressure, uncomplicated diabetes, cholesterol issues, asthma, colds and flu, edema, thyroid issues, anxiety, depression, skin infections in the absence of fever, cholesterol, tobacco cessation and allergies are a few of the more commonly treated conditions.  If you have a condition that can not be controlled or improved with Allopathic medicine, she may recommend Naturopathic medicine.
